Forth Valley Disability Sport Awards will be held virtually, in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport, and will recognise the commitment, achievement and contribution that our athletes, coaches, volunteers and clubs have made to our community in Forth Valley in 2020, in a range of categories:
Any individual nominated must be resident in Forth Valley (Stirling, Clackmannanshire, Falkirk) or a member of a club affiliated to Forth Valley Disability Sport. Clubs nominated must be affiliated to Forth Valley Disability Sport.
The sporting year is defined as the year prior to the closing date for nominations. The closing date for nominations is Friday, 22nd January 2021.
The award winners and shortlisted nominations will be at the discretion of the awards selection panel and their decision will be final.
The awards ceremony will take place virtually on the evening of Monday, 22nd February 2021.

Coach of the Year
Coach of the Year will be awarded to the coach who, by using a player centred approach has:
This award will be made to a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to their club, in recognition of their commitment this year. They will have:
This award will recognise the young sports person with a disability aged 18 years and under who has excelled in any sport in the last year virtually or face to face.
This award will recognise the sports person with a disability over the age of 18 years who has excelled in any sport in the last year virtually or face to face.
This award recognises individuals who have played an active role in the development of Forth Valley Disability Sport in any capacity whatsoever.
Length of service as an SDS volunteer is an aspect that will be taken into consideration in determining appropriate recipients.
These will be awarded to any sports person with a disability who has demonstrated exceptional qualities of sportsmanship, determination, commitment, leadership, achievement that single him/her out from the others during the past year. And has been involved in disability sport for over 2 years.
This award recognises individuals who have overcome a range of barriers and difficulties to participant and achieve within sport and physical activity.
The GOGA award will be awarded to any person involved in the GOGA Physical Activity sessions that has demonstrated commitment to attending session and supporting others in a friendly and respectful way.
