Scottish Disability Sport National Junior Championships for Swimmers with a Learning Disability

Tollcross Leisure Centre in Glasgow hosted the SDS National Junior swimming Championships for swimmers with Learning Disability on Wednesday 20th November 2019.

Forth Valley Disability Sport took a team of 10 swimmers to the National Championships who qualified for the event earlier in the year at the FVDS Regional Schools Swimming Championship on Friday 27th September 2019 at Grangemouth Sports Complex.

The swimmers competed against teams from throughout Scotland coming home with four medals.

Silver medals were awarded to Rebekah Dunsmore and Nikki Forrester and both Annie Bainbridge and Holly Jackson winning Bronze medals.

Overall the event was a great success for Forth Valley and well done to all the swimmers. Other team

members include Ryan Flynn, Ryan Aitken, Jenna Wardrop, Zach Apedaile, Jamie Bowman and Erin MacDougall. Thank you to all school staff, parents and club coaches who supported the team on the day.
